NowGen

Building an inspired, caring, and connected Jewish community for generations to come.

Are you looking to explore your Jewish values, meet new people, and give back to the community?

As CJP’s young adult division, we’re working to build and sustain a thriving community of engaged Jewish young adults who are involved, empowered and committed to leadership, philanthropy and outreach. We offer a wide variety of programming to help individuals and families LIVE, GIVE and LEAD Jewish.

NowGen programs provide many different pathways for Jewish community members between the ages of 21 and 45 to live out the shared value of building an enduring Jewish future in the Greater Phoenix area and around the world.

NowGen is for singles, couples, and young families from diverse backgrounds – NowGen is for everyone! We’d love to get to know you and get you connected.

Live Jewishly

Members of NowGen gather throughout the year for social, educational and volunteer activities. Programs range from family-friendly holiday celebrations and happy hours, to programming for affinity groups and signature events like Mazelpalooza and Party of 8.

Give Jewishly

Time. Talent. Treasure. NowGen provides ways to give back using all three.

Give back by participating in social-action programs throughout the year, including programming with local partners, an annual Mitzvah Day, and co-sponsored programming with Women in Philanthropy. Consider joining one of our exclusive Giving Societies or NowGen Giving Circle.

NowGen encourages support of the CJP Annual Campaign. With monthly payment plans available, it’s never been easier to be a philanthropist!  Those who make a donation of $1,000 or more a year become members of the Ben-Gurion Society (BGS), a group of passionate young leaders in our community making a significant impact locally and globally. BGS members enjoy exclusive programming and VIP access at select NowGen and CJP events.

For the last seven years, the NowGen Giving Circle has provided the opportunity for members ages 21-45 to support local community initiatives through impact giving. Each member makes a minimum contribution of $500 to fund innovative programming.

Lead Jewishly

We offer leadership development and premium leadership opportunities to deepen your involvement with CJP and the local and global Jewish community.

Leadership and Advancement Series (L.A.S.)

Fosters your leadership as a professional and philanthropist through working with senior community leaders. Meet new people who have a passion for Jewish life and advance personally and professionally through leadership training.   Graduates have gone on to assume important roles in CJP and other local Jewish organizations, as well as on the national level through The Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA).

National Young Leadership Cabinet (NYLC)

National Young Leadership Cabinet (NYL Cabinet) is the Jewish Federation of North America’s elite leadership-training program for people ages 30-45.

NowGen Executive Committee

Committee members create a strong community for young Jewish professionals in the Greater Phoenix area in order to keep them engaged in Jewish life through our three core program areas: Live, Give and Lead.
