About This Panel Event: The history of Jewish immigration to America is the history of a community’s successful escape from persecution and alienation. With an increasingly hostile tone taken towards immigrants in recent years, it is vital to remember that story of immigration in America, despite its many challenges, is ultimately a successful one. This panel will explore immigration stories through historical and contemporary lenses, with powerful personal narratives at the core. This is a can’t miss event for those craving to learn more about the powerful place that immigration has in the Jewish–and American–imagination.
