Can an Israeli-Palestinian Confederation Work?
November 16 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm$18
A Virtual Event With Dr. Dahlia Scheindlin
EVENT CO-HOSTED BY:
ABOUT THIS EVENT: For nearly three decades, the Two-State Solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict faltered at the negotiating table. Yet without a political resolution, Israel will know no peace, and Palestinians will remain an oppressed nation forever. This talk will present a path forward: a new vision for a confederation of two states, to replace the failures of the past. This approach provides national self-determination for both peoples in two states, while forging an association based on shared aspects of sovereignty, and creative new solutions to the most intractable conflict issues – borders, settlements, refugees and Jerusalem. The confederation approach rests on cooperation rather than segregation – it is not only more realistic, it is optimistic.
ABOUT THIS SPEAKER: Dr. Dahlia Scheindlin is a public opinion expert and political consultant with 20 years of experience. An academic and writer, Dahlia conducts extensive research and policy analysis on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, democracy, human and civil rights, minorities, religion and state for a range of political and civil society figures in Israel.
