The Federation’s NowGen program launched its Shalom Phoenix, welcoming newcomers to the Phoenix area and providing them with resources to engage with their new Jewish community.
Jewish young adults ages 21-45 who have recently relocated to the Valley receive an emailed Jewish community guide with information about young adult organizations, The J, local shuls, kosher restaurants, travel opportunities and more. In addition, they receive a postcard with a personal message from a NowGen board member and are invited to private, hosted events to make personal connections in an intimate setting.
“It can be difficult to find your place in a new city, especially one with such a large Jewish community. Shalom Phoenix is the hub that provides valuable resources to help young adults find new and meaningful ways to connect with the Valley’s Jewish community,” said NowGen Senior Director Stacey Cohen.
